The existing home is located on a secluded road in Darien, CT and has lovely grounds with a beautiful pool, spa and terraces and pool house.

Domus Constructors was selected as the builder for this custom and comprehensive remodeling project of the first floor consisting of interior renovation with additions and a complete exterior makeover.

The clients desired a new kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry room, mud room all with custom built cabinetry and luxury appliances. A new mudroom entry was created as well as two new powder rooms, and a two – car garage, lower level mud room, and added storage space

The exterior of the home was completely redone. All roofing was removed and replaced with an architectural grade asphalt shingle, all windows and doors were removed and replaced with insulated windows which also met new egress codes, the roof overhangs were modified to give the home more depth, and the siding was all removed and replaced with a 5 – 1/2” exposure cedar shake

The pool house interior was also completely renovated and the main entry door was changed to a large folding/staking door
