Domus was hired to completely renovate and expand this 1939 Cape Cod style home in Darien. The entire exterior was redone including wood roofs, chimneys, masonry walks, terraces and stoops, wood shingle siding, windows and doors and shutters. The size of the home was slightly expanded to allow for a new lager kitchen and breakfast layout as well as a larger primary suite.

Some of the more prominent features include a very large covered porch with wood ceilings and recessed heaters - the doors off of the living room open up to the covered porch allowing for a wonderful entertaining space with an adjacent bluestone terrace and built-in grilling area. Another notable feature is the primary suite balcony which gives the feeling of being in a tree house as it was carefully placed to preserve the existing large maple tree. The Butler's Pantry lighted upper cabinetry with its deep blue finish and glass doors allow our clients to feature their crystal ware.
